Poem: Exhibition

They came to town for a reason,
To see the girl in glass coffin this season,
She’s not in comatose – her mission,
for him to take her away – his compassion,
They’ll elope; away without ransom.

“They’ll elope; away without ransom.” This is so interesting to me. It’s meaning could be face value… but for some reason it pops so very well. It made me smile. Very nice choice of words, it causes a chemical reaction in my brain. That’s what music does…it’s what drug companies want us to believe only drugs can do. I love it!

That line is supposed to be a rhyme. Somehow it fits the description, the entire scenerio. Glad that you love it. 🙂

It’s cool to read how you write. Our native languages can be very restrictive to our methodology. Reading the words of others can free us from the slavery of redundancy. Just as I may sound child like in my attempts to speak another language… children are pure and innocent. That is how we all should hope to be in our poetry. God bless!

This is the reason why some talented poets (like you, and some others I’ve known) haven’t been discovered and have their work recognised.
