Poem: Worthwhile Destiny

You left me because I’m sick
You love her because she’s pretty
I’ve found me after you’ve parted
Now I know what’s my worth

You left me so I can start a new chapter
You love her so she can carry your baby
I have to keep going to become stronger
I was born to this; to tell a story of me

She left you because you’re clingy
She loves you because of your gold
I’m glad I have nothing to do with this
Now God has a better plan for me to strive

I’ve kept my head held up high
My world is different from others
But you are not accepted in this
For you don’t know what you’re worth

I’ve drank morphine like a glass of wine
I’ve drove to the barricade of the deepest slope
I’ve cracked my nerve to compose the best work
‘Til the day I fall, I’ll resurrect with dignity
