Poem: Monologue 00.00.005

Words can never explain when you kiss me
The next minute you’re going away
My soul is like a feather fleece
Our heart is where they should stay
Thought you’re the answer to my prayer
Eight years and still counting
I am weird in their eyes
I should listen to them when a man
comes to me. But he’s not the one
I know better than anyone else
Life is for rent as long as I am satisfied
Better off alone than to get hurt
There goes the man thought to be us
Can’t blame him for creating havoc
He’s a messed-up may God forgive him
