First of all, let me apologize for my four months missing in action. Mr Thunder and Ms Rain are on their way, hence, I have to finish this before they found me. Or, if I’m daring enough to write this under their nose (Eek, if they ever have a nose lol)…
I’ve done some manuscript editing and then put it aside cos’ I have something in mind that I have to do, or else it’ll be like a raven crow pecking my head wherever I go.
WanderInkZ Creative Services – I’ve set up this small business venture on Facebook to sell my framed and printed poems, instead of printing them in a chapbook. This is for those who wish to purchase my work individually, of course it’s not as cheap as a chapbook. Having said so, I’ve spent all my time to choose the best photo frame, beautifully designed papers, of which some I designed on my own, using fabric tapes, lace tapes and other ornaments, in order to provide the best and well-decorated artwork…in writing. I’m also taking in personalized poems ordering. This business will also branching into writing motivational poems, poetry editing services and poetry writing workshop. ZiggyZag Arms Poetry Journal – It says it all, as a published poet besides volunteering for Eastlit to be part of the editorial board member, I’ve started my own online poetry journal. It aims to publish under-represented and emerging Asian descent poets around the world (even if you’re half Asian, you’re welcome to submit). The publication months are February, April, June, August, October and December. Do check the website: http://ziggyzagarmspoetryjournal.weebly.com. Stay tune for more of me and my other baby-ventures…
Butterfly lips are on your neck and shoulder,
Careful not to touch the contour of your face
and smile as you breathe on my hair,
My fingers refuse to entangle beautiful knots,
I had dreamed of us like this, over and again.
When the sun rises, I will pack the suitcase
inundated with Moulin Rouge and Cathedral memories,
Finished last night’s champagne from the bottle,
I look at you for the very last time; a moment of silence,
How I wish to repeat yesterday in an immaculate beat.
But I will be gone before you open your eyes,
I will be gone by the time you are awake.
Took a trip to your hometown,
Where you promised to show me around,
By the fountain we’d danced,
a lovely duet of miles and miles apart.
Challenge me the difference between winter and spring,
Before you leave me with Summer the stranger,
‘Two in One Soul’ is unknown to a Scarlet Letter,
but it has envisaged in confusion and bittersweet.
At the playground, of smiling nose and lips,
Men and women sharing the responsibilities,
building merrily institution for their children,
This maternal clock is ticking like a nuclear atomic.
I had scribbled lyrical poems on random basis,
on the notebook you gave me when we first met,
I put my hand on this half-beating heart,
Eyes on the tilted artwork by the dune,
‘My love, I miss you so.’
‘He’ stands for hypocrite,
You are my constant yearning,
We strive for the imbalance
to gather differences & similarities,
I should drink myself to sleep,
and deal with whatsoever; if
tomorrow would to visit me — too soon.
Ode to this beat of my heart,
My fingers move beyond my grip,
Wide awake and stroking love,
Tasting sweetness in salty tears,
Oh, so comfortable this affection
I have — down to this beautiful stranger.
Your voice and that deep breathing,
Close my eyes and let it go,
A mere touch will never be enough,
Take it slow; take it all with you.
I may be here for you, today
But when tomorrow comes
You may not find me anywhere
But in spirit I am with you.
God has spoken to me
Everything will be all right
I can see it’s happening now
Fear has taken over
by courage and strength.
That song on the radio,
like crusader piercing hearts,
Insomnia by now; from now on —
Tears of Niagara Falls,
For we have danced to this before
long, long before —
God has chosen a lover for me,
He said we have to learn
to respect one another
turning hatred into love
inconsideration into understanding
To love endlessly
even when the flower has faded
and when the rose garden is in drought
Until death do both of us part
But one of us
is waiting for either of us
on the beautiful shore by the waterfall
The stage is set for us,
March forward —
Let’s continue where we’ve left,
Ascend the flag of meritocracy
in the land of roaring mountain.
We are breathable
Mortal and yet fragile
In between relationship and friendship —
Timing is the main culprit.
as it has written on my paper cup,
Didn’t they know that there’s no difference
unless you are here with me —
