New Venture & New Poetry Journal

First of all, let me apologize for my four months missing in action. Mr Thunder and Ms Rain are on their way, hence, I have to finish this before they found me. Or, if I’m daring enough to write this under their nose (Eek, if they ever have a nose lol)…

I’ve done some manuscript editing and then put it aside cos’ I have something in mind that I have to do, or else it’ll be like a raven crow pecking my head wherever I go.

WanderInkZ Creative Services – I’ve set up this small business venture on Facebook to sell my framed and printed poems, instead of printing them in a chapbook. This is for those who wish to purchase my work individually, of course it’s not as cheap as a chapbook. Having said so, I’ve spent all my time to choose the best photo frame, beautifully designed papers, of which some I designed on my own, using fabric tapes, lace tapes and other ornaments, in order to provide the best and well-decorated artwork…in writing. I’m also taking in personalized poems ordering. This business will also branching into writing motivational poems, poetry editing services and poetry writing workshop. ZiggyZag Arms Poetry Journal – It says it all, as a published poet besides volunteering for Eastlit to be part of the editorial board member, I’ve started my own online poetry journal. It aims to publish under-represented and emerging Asian descent poets around the world (even if you’re half Asian, you’re welcome to submit). The publication months are February, April, June, August, October and December. Do check the website: http://ziggyzagarmspoetryjournal.weebly.com. Stay tune for more of me and my other baby-ventures…

Poem: Chocolate Pumpkin Cupcake

Kitchen will be my heaven,
And the oven is my latest pride,
Don’t worry sweetheart,
I won’t burn them like any other girls,
A special day is ahead of us.

Don’t worry baby boy,
I’ll make sure the batter
will not let your teeth drop,
Our rings are made of the pumpkin puree,
Don’t lick them until they’re frozen.

We wish Happy Halloween on the bed,
Kiss me before it’s too late.

Poem: Natural

A smile upon my face,
Knowingly you’re beside me,
Will not be lonely; not anymore;
tossing and turning on this large bed,
Dancing fingertips on my skin —

You’re blowing bubble gum
in this unlimited summer,
while I am melting chocolate
in the pot. We plan to play
fondue in front of our unborn children.

Poem: One Hundred Days

Velvet sky of disclosure,
We have been two-thousand
and four-hundred hours apart,
Scars are so brand new, still —
I have been breathing hard
lately. Only then I learn to be
stronger, like I have promised you
before your last breath that I will
never give up. Never for Mama and myself —
I will not cry the same tears,
But it will be of different taste. Someday
another new chapter
when a vow is exchanged
with the One who loves me. —

Micropoetry #50

Lay me down between
the North and Downtown of
Vancouver with eyes wide open,
while I’m breathing you
by the Lion’s Gate Bridge,
Mouths locking; deeply
when I say ‘I Do’ to you.

Poem: Other Half (My Sacred Vow)

You kiss my shoulder saying everything will be all right
I look ahead, unconvincingly and you take my hand
I’ve been hurt before, wound of open sore taking time
You say let them heal slowly, I will be at your side

I don’t expect you to be so perfect
You have paid your dues long ago
In between the penumbra of reality
I don’t believe but I see us in your eyes

You will come to me when entanglement hits the fences
I don’t mean to get you into trouble, yet you never blame
or calling me dumb, stupid, fool, an idiot –
You listen as I speak, never cut-in, patiently waiting

I don’t think I will find somebody like you
The world has made the one and only. You are for me.
For we are one. I am blessed. Quietly I pray. No proclamation
I thank Him for bringing us together

Never have I taken you
for granted
Even I haven’t been on
the rockiest road
I will never do that
We have seen the worst
We’ve been played before
Now let us bring out
our very best
Forever and always
